Why invest in Doncaster?

The recent granting of city status for Doncaster means we are perfectly positioned to become the next city to undergo a property boom!
We are part of a thriving regional economy and you don’t need to look any further than the expanding major infrastructure being injected into the area, particularly focusing around the logistics industry and of course the regeneration of the train networks - not to mention the upcoming re-opening of Doncaster Airport.

Doncaster, geographically is ideally positioned to be a northern powerhouse for transport and connections.

There are numerous links to many key motorways right on our doorstep making the property market ripe for commuters seeking a lower than average cost per M2 for a property – for now!

With the continued government support of the established “Northern Powerhouse” initiative we can only expect further investment in the local economy in areas such as Education, Healthcare, Innovation, Transport and culture – its all looking up from here!

So strike while the iron is hot!

No time like the present!

Doncaster, in my opinion, is on the cusp of a housing market eruption, just look at the likes of Leeds 10-20 years ago, there is a perfect recipe for investors in an emerging market that can be capitalised on now while Doncaster is still flying, to a certain extent, under the radar.

That being said, the larger new build property developers have started to click-on and regeneration of land into new build estates is rife everywhere you look in and around Doncaster suburbs.

If you compare Doncaster to the likes of its other northern competitors we are, for the most part, undervalued but what that means is opportunity for investors.

Using the framework of a product lifecycle and applying it to the housing market, Doncaster is just at the start of its life and that creates lucrative and long-term financial safety for our property market in terms of impressive long term equity from capital appreciation.

It all adds up a picture showing Doncaster as a hidden gem but with all things they don’t stay hidden forever.

So to apply a favourite quote of mine, “the time to buy is when there’s blood on the streets” – its a little extreme but definitely appropriate.
